Rooted in Rural. Built for the Future.
In Northern Cass, neighbors look out for each other. But when it comes to essential services—healthcare, childcare, wellness, and aging support—our communities face growing gaps. There is no medical clinic in the district. Daycares are full. Seniors are struggling to age in place. And schools and employers are working harder than ever to attract and retain great people.
In response, we’re building the Northern Cass Community Health & Wellness Center (NCCHWC)—a first-of-its-kind, community-led initiative to bring critical services under one roof, on the Northern Cass School campus.
Backed by partnerships with Essentia Health, Community of Care, The Village Family Service Center, and others, this center will serve people of all ages across six rural towns and beyond. From on-site medical, dental, and mental health care to a childcare center, indoor fitness and play spaces, a community food pantry, creative classrooms, and career development opportunities—this center is designed to meet real needs in real time.
More than 290 residents responded to surveys. Hundreds attended listening sessions. The message was clear: our communities are ready. And the impact will be powerful.
